Jim: Where were you when I was asking about the white spacer in my 87? It sounds like you may have just answered my question. My bike runs very rich and fouls plugs. My fuel consumption is not good at all. I haven't looked for the white spacer, but I have just picked up a new main jet and needle but haven't installed them yet. I suspect that someone, before me, has removed the spacer. I have tried every trick I can think of (except the new jet & needle) attempting to improve my gas mileage and to eliminate the problem of fouled plugs. I'll bet a nickle to a horse turd that I don't find a white spacer in my carb.
